Artist Bio

John Brock (aka Jno.) began his musical career in the Southwest at the age of 7. After studying music for over 10 years, college scholarships took him in pursuit of a fine arts degree, then his path led him to seek fame and fortune in Los Angeles. He performed on NBC-TV, at the Rose Bowl Earth Day Festival, and in Hollywood venues. He founded AMP Records (Alternative Music Productions, Inc.) and 2 releases reached 30 states and 15 foreign countries, particularly Europe.

Consequently, came a listing in the Billboard International Buyer's Guide and a membership in American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers and National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Eventually John's biography was listed in Who's Who in America. While in the Northwest, he was commissioned to compose and perform with a ballet company and was featured at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts.

After John relocated to Las Vegas, he served as music educator, music and choral director and guest soloist for many community organizations. During this 10 year period, he performed extensively from concerts to resorts, and was awarded an Artist-in-Residence position that was funded by Nevada Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts. At the turn of the century, a new label was created to replace AMP known as theMusicMinistry.com.

John currently resides in his Arizona Studio Desert Sanctuary where he is composing and recording several new albums and hoping to land some movie soundtracks and one day get a Grammy nomination. His music crosses diverse genres from contemporary, ambient and electronica to neo-classical with an appeal for most music-lovers. These recordings are available from CDBaby.com, iTunes, Amazon and about a dozen other sites through John Brock Publishing (ASCAP). He plans to return to performing again in 2012.
